Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding legal agreement between you ("you", "your") and Mahadi Hassan, sole proprietor, operating the ApplyFuel service ("ApplyFuel", "we", "us", "our"). The service includes the ApplyFuel Chrome extension, the website at applyfuel.com, and the backend APIs supporting them.
By installing the extension, creating an account, or otherwise using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept, do not install the extension and do not create an account.
1. Eligibility
You may only use ApplyFuel if you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your country of residence. By using the service you represent that you meet these requirements.
ApplyFuel is intended for personal job-seeker use. You may not use ApplyFuel as a recruiter, talent agency, third-party application service, or on behalf of any person other than yourself.
2. Your account
You must create an account using a valid email address that you control. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for every action taken through your account, whether or not authorised by you. Notify us at mh@mahadihassan.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information in your profile (name, work history, education, skills, etc.). ApplyFuel generates documents from this profile, so inaccurate input produces inaccurate output, for which you are solely responsible.
We may refuse to create, suspend, or terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to: violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, payment chargebacks, abusive behaviour toward us or other users, or any conduct we believe is harmful to the service or to other users.
3. Licence you grant to us
By submitting your profile, CV, job postings, generated documents, or any other content to ApplyFuel ("Your Content"), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, copy, store, transmit, process, modify, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, securing, and improving the service for you. This includes the right to transmit relevant portions of Your Content to the third-party subprocessors listed in the Privacy Policy in order to generate CVs, cover letters, and form answers on your behalf.
You retain ownership of Your Content. We do not use Your Content to train AI models, do not sell it to third parties, and do not share it for purposes outside operating the service for you.
This licence ends when you delete Your Content from the service or delete your account, except where retention is required by law (for example, payment records retained for tax purposes).
4. Licence we grant to you
We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to install the extension and use the service for your own personal job-seeker use, subject to these Terms.
You do not acquire any other rights in or to the extension, the website, our trademarks, our code, our prompts, or any other part of the service.
5. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to, and not to attempt to:
- use the service for any unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, harassing, defamatory, hateful, or obscene purpose;
- submit content you do not own or have the right to use;
- impersonate any person, fabricate qualifications, credentials, or experience you do not actually have, or otherwise misrepresent yourself in the input you submit or the output you send to employers;
- scrape, copy, mirror, or otherwise extract data from the service except via the official extension and API used by you for your own account;
- resell, sublicense, lease, rent, time-share, or otherwise commercialise the service or any output produced by it;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works from the extension, the backend, the prompts, or any part of the service except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law;
- bypass, disable, or interfere with rate limits, credit enforcement, free-tier limits, device-level quotas, authentication, or any other security or commercial control;
- use the service in any way that triggers, evades, or interferes with bot-detection systems on third-party job platforms, or that violates the terms of service of any platform you submit applications to;
- use the service to send unsolicited mass communications or to harvest other people's data;
- use the service to develop a competing product;
- run automated agents, bots, or scripts against the service or use the service to generate content at industrial scale;
- circumvent any technical protection measure or signature-verification step.
We may, at our sole discretion, monitor for breaches of this section and take any action we consider proportionate, including suspending or terminating your account and removing credits without refund.
6. AI-generated content
ApplyFuel uses third-party language models to generate text from your profile and the job posting you submit. AI output is statistical and can be wrong, inappropriate, biased, dated, or otherwise unfit for your specific purpose, even when our prompts explicitly ask the model not to fabricate.
You acknowledge and agree:
- You must review every piece of output before sending it to any employer, third party, or platform. ApplyFuel is a drafting tool. You are the author of any application you submit.
- We do not auto-submit applications, do not click on your behalf, do not interact with third-party platforms on your behalf. You are solely responsible for everything you submit.
- We make no promise that AI output will be accurate, complete, current, non-infringing, free of bias, fit for any particular role, free of policy violations on the platform you submit to, or that it will result in any interview, offer, or other outcome.
- You are solely responsible for compliance with the terms of service of every platform you submit an application to. ApplyFuel does not control those platforms and is not a party to your relationship with them.
- If a platform suspends, bans, or otherwise restricts your account due to content you generated with ApplyFuel and then submitted, you are responsible. ApplyFuel is not.
7. Payments, credits, and refunds
ApplyFuel uses a pay-as-you-go credit system. You can purchase credit packs through Stripe, Inc. (United States). Stripe is the payment processor; we do not store your full card or bank details. Prices are denominated in U.S. dollars and Stripe charges your card or bank in U.S. dollars. Any conversion from U.S. dollars to your card or bank's home currency is performed by your card issuer or bank, not by us.
By purchasing credits you accept the following:
- Pricing. Each credit pack shows its price in U.S. dollars before payment. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
- Non-refundable. All credit purchases are final and non-refundable, including credits already consumed by generations you were unhappy with, credits unused at the time of account closure, and credits affected by your own change of mind.
- Active-use window. Credits do not auto-expire on a monthly or rolling basis. They remain on your balance while your account is active. "Active" means you sign in to the extension or webapp, or make any authenticated API call, at least once every twelve (12) consecutive months.
- Forfeit on inactivity. If your account is inactive for twelve (12) consecutive months we will email a forfeit notice to your registered address. If the account remains inactive for thirty (30) days after that notice, any unused credits on your balance are forfeited without refund. A single sign-in within the 30-day notice window resets the inactivity clock.
- Service discontinuation. If we permanently discontinue the entire service we will give registered users at least thirty (30) days' advance notice by email. During the notice window you may continue to spend credits at the then-current prices. After the discontinuation date we are not obliged to refund any credit balance; however, at our sole discretion we may offer a pro-rata refund of credits purchased within the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the discontinuation date, calculated against the original USD price you paid, less any credits already consumed. Credits granted by promotion, free tier, signup bonus, or admin grant are excluded from any refund.
- Future expiration policy. We reserve the right to introduce additional expiration rules (for example, a per-credit-lot expiry) in the future, with at least thirty (30) days' advance notice; credits already purchased before that change takes effect will retain their original terms unless the change is purely consumer-favourable.
- Free tier. ApplyFuel provides a monthly free-tier allowance to every account. We may change the size of the free tier at any time, with notice for negative changes. The free tier is per-account and per-device; we use a device identifier to prevent abuse (see Privacy Policy).
- Chargebacks. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your card issuer or bank, we may immediately suspend your account, remove the disputed credits and any further credits we believe were obtained in connection with the dispute, and refuse to provide further service to you. You agree not to initiate chargebacks for credits already consumed.
- Taxes. Prices shown do not include applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar. Where we are required to collect such taxes we will add them at checkout.
- Statutory rights. If you have a non-waivable statutory right of withdrawal in your country (for example, certain EU consumer rights), nothing in this section overrides that right; however by starting to use credits you expressly consent to begin performance of the service and waive any right of withdrawal in respect of credits already consumed.
8. Service availability; modifications
We provide the service on a reasonable-effort basis. We do not promise that the service will be available at any specific time or free of downtime, errors, bugs, or security incidents.
We may add, change, remove, or discontinue any feature of the service at any time, including AI model tiers, generation templates, integrations, supported job sites, or pricing, with or without notice.
If we permanently discontinue the entire service, we will give registered users at least 30 days' notice by email and provide a reasonable window to export Your Content.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account by emailing mh@mahadihassan.com from your registered address. We will process the deletion within 30 days, subject to any retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy.
We may, at our sole discretion and at any time, suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, including (without limitation): for breach of these Terms, for non-payment, for chargeback or fraud, for abuse of free-tier limits, for legal request, or if we cease providing the service. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Sections 3 (last paragraph), 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 survive termination.
10. Warranty disclaimer
THE SERVICE, INCLUDING THE EXTENSION, THE WEBSITE, ALL BACKEND APIS, AND ALL AI-GENERATED OUTPUT, IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION, FREEDOM FROM ERRORS, FREEDOM FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR USEFUL, THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE COMPATIBLE WITH ANY THIRD-PARTY PLATFORM, OR THAT USING THE SERVICE WILL PRODUCE ANY JOB, INTERVIEW, OR OTHER OUTCOME.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In those jurisdictions the above exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted by law and not further.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
(a) IN NO EVENT WILL APPLYFUEL, ITS OPERATOR, EMPLOYEES (IF ANY), CONTRACTORS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST OPPORTUNITY, LOST GOODWILL, LOST DATA, LOST INTERVIEWS, LOST OFFERS, LOST CAREER OUTCOMES, OR COSTS OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
(b) OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU, FROM ALL CAUSES OF ACTION AND ALL THEORIES OF LIABILITY, IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (i) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (USD 50.00) OR (ii) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID TO APPLYFUEL IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
(c) THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY EVEN IF ANY LIMITED REMEDY IN THESE TERMS IS FOUND TO HAVE FAILED OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
(d) NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS OR EXCLUDES ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED OR EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW (FOR EXAMPLE, LIABILITY FOR FRAUD OR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY OUR GROSS NEGLIGENCE).
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ApplyFuel, its operator, employees (if any), contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
(a) Your Content; (b) your use or misuse of the service; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any law or any third party's rights, including any platform terms of service; (e) any application, statement, or communication you send to any third party that contains AI-generated output from the service.
We may, at our own expense, assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you will cooperate with us in asserting any available defences.
13. Third-party services
The service relies on third-party services (subprocessors listed in the Privacy Policy) and may link to other third-party websites or platforms. We are not responsible for those third parties, their availability, their content, their terms, or their privacy practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and governed by their own agreements.
In particular, ApplyFuel is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any job board, applicant tracking system, recruiter, employer, or platform on which you submit applications.
14. Modifications to these Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. The current version is always available at applyfuel.com/terms. If a change is material we will notify registered users by email at least 7 days before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms reflects the most recent change.
Your continued use of the service after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not accept the new Terms, you must stop using the service and delete your account before the effective date.
15. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the service are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
16. Dispute resolution; arbitration; class-action waiver
(a) Informal resolution. Before filing any claim against us, you agree to first contact us at mh@mahadihassan.com and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days from the date of first contact.
(b) Binding arbitration. Except for the matters reserved in Section 16(d), any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service, including its existence, validity, interpretation, performance, breach, or termination, will be referred to and finally resolved by binding arbitration administered under the rules then in force of the Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC) or, in the absence of such rules, the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. The seat of arbitration is Dhaka, Bangladesh. The language of arbitration is English. The number of arbitrators is one. The arbitral award is final and binding on the parties.
(c) Class-action and jury waiver. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AND APPLYFUEL EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY AND ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, CLASS ARBITRATION, PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTION, OR ANY OTHER CONSOLIDATED, REPRESENTATIVE, OR COLLECTIVE PROCEEDING. ANY DISPUTE WILL BE BROUGHT AND RESOLVED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS ONLY.
(d) Exceptions. Either party may bring an action in court of competent jurisdiction (without first complying with Section 16(b)) solely for (i) injunctive or equitable relief to protect intellectual property, confidentiality, or to prevent unauthorised access to the service, or (ii) small-claims matters within the small-claims court's jurisdiction.
(e) Severance. If any part of this Section 16 is held unenforceable, the unenforceable part will be severed and the remainder of this Section 16 will continue to apply.
If you are a consumer ordinarily resident in a jurisdiction whose mandatory law guarantees you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts and applies law you cannot waive, nothing in this Section 16 takes away that right; but you agree that, to the maximum extent permitted by that law, the arbitration and class-action provisions above still apply to the fullest extent permitted.
17. Export control and sanctions
You represent that you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or a national of any country or region subject to comprehensive trade sanctions, and that you are not on any restricted-party list. You agree not to use the service in any manner that violates applicable export-control or sanctions laws.
18. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ApplyFuel concerning the service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest of these Terms continues in full force, and the invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable while preserving its intent.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent. We may freely assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
- Notices to you may be given by email to your registered address or by posting on applyfuel.com. Notices to us must be sent to mh@mahadihassan.com.
- Relationship. Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, or franchise relationship between you and us.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including network outages, third-party API outages, acts of government, natural events, or labour disturbances.
- Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
- Language. These Terms are written in English. Any translation is provided for convenience only and the English version controls in the event of conflict.
